USB 3.0 for Mac
All the product pages for USB 3.0 to DVI (/ DisplayPort / HDMI) indicate Windows only, but perhaps those predated Ivy Bridge Macs.
Do the drivers work (well) for USB 3.0 (Ivy Bridge) on Mountain Lion? Thanks! -Jeff |

Sadly they don't (yet).
I have the Targus USB 3 video dock and a mid 2012 MacBook Air. Without the drivers installed, the gigabit ethernet works just fine, as well as the additional USB ports. USB audio isn't recognized. I haven't installed any DisplayLink driver yet, because this particular family DL-3xxx isn't supported yet, so why even bother installing? |

USB 3.0 for Mac
Hello All,
I am also using USB 3.0 for Mac.USB 3.0 is the latest USB standard. It is better than tha USB 2. USB 3 can transfer data up to 5 Gbps.USB 3 devices can use up to 900mA of power. All USB ports on Macs that supports USB 3 are USB 3 capable and do not have blue inserts.

J5Create has Mac USB 3.0 drivers and they even have Mountain Lion compatible ones on their facebook page, so it can be done, DisplayLink just needs to do it.
