Charging issue using provided AC adapter
Hello,
Is there a reason why a Dell Latitude 5580 laptop using Win10 is only getting 65w from the AC adapter provided with my docking station? On restart, while booting it will give an error message stating that a 65w adapter is connected and requires at least a 90w adapter. The adapter in question is a 130w adapter that was provided with the docking station (D6000). I've tried with other adapters but get the same error. I am using the USB-C connector from the docking station to the laptop. I've had a similar issue on the same model laptop with a WD15 docking station that has a 180w adapter and only reads 65w. Any information is appreciated. Thank you! |

Hello,
USB-PD (Power Delivery) is not our technology. I recommend you contact the manufacturer, Dell, for advice on this part of their product. Kind regards, Alban
