When using Thinkpad USB 3.0 computer lags and slow to respond

I have gone through the troubleshooting page on displaylink. Made sure all my drivers were installed correctly. Then I ran displaylink's troubleshooting tool and passed the system compatibility check. I also ran the "gather information" tool but don't know where to send the zip file. the website

says to send it to displaylink but didn't include an email address.

My problem is that when I connect my Lenovo laptop - running Windows 8.1 - to the thinkpad USB 3.0 docking station my laptop seems to run very slowly. There is a noticeable lag when I click on a file or program before it opens. And dragging things around on the screen. When I disconnect my laptop from the docking station it works perfectly.

If you click the "Reply" button scroll down a bit and there is an attachment section.
