Default DisplayLink W7 X64 & DELL U2410 HDMI No Lights, No Display

I have tried multiple resolutions. I have tried unplugging the USB + HDMI cables, and then plugging in the USB first, and then the HDMI to the dell monitor with no luck.

When I'm in my display properties (Screen Resolution in Windows 7), it shows this monitor and does show the proper model number. I have the "Multiple displays" set to "Extend desktop to this display".

Is there a specific sequence I should be doing in order to get the display to function?

Default ATI Driver Update

I thought it may be because I didn't have the latest ATI drivers installed so I installed them. I still have the same problem.

I re-ran the debug util and attached its findings.

Hi

The software looks to be running correctly and thinks its communicating with the device. Is there an LED on the device that is not lit? If so, then it could be faulty hardware. Do you have another computer you can try it on just to check the hardware?

Thanks

Well I got it to work ... in a way. I changed my connection to the monitor to use DVI instead of HDMI and that signal was picked up by the monitor just fine. Then I swapped out the DVI for the HDMI and then that worked as well. I'm confused as to why that worked.

I'm going to try rebooting and see whether the monitor continues to get and display the signal.

To answer your question, no, the LED light on the DisplayLink device doesn't light up.

Another question: It only lists resolutions up to 1400x900 and I know this monitor can handle 1920x1200 since I have 2 other identical monitor models currently running on this PC at that resolution. Is there any way I can get this monitor to be set at that resolution as well?

It looks like you have a product based on the DL-125 or DL-165. To support 1920x1200, you would need an adapter based on the DL-195.

I decided to buy a newer product which would support the 1920x1200 resolution. It worked great for about a week;however, now it does not work at all. I've added a new post here: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=835. I'm hoping someone can assist me because I'm at a loss.
