Can magnets damage laptop screen?
Since I originally ordered the DUEX from indiegogo last year I haven't attached the metal planets on any of my laptops because I'm afraid that the magnets damages the laptop screen after being attached too much to it because I remember when we were kids and placed some magnets on TV sets it turns blue or green (don't remember if it comes back later or not though)
I know technology has changed but thought of asking before attaching it, if you can share your experience that would be great I have ThinkPads (W520 and X1 Yoga) and a MacBook Pro (old 2012/2013 model i think) Thanks in advance |

I just noticed that this is the driver's forum (DisplayLink) not the actual product of mobilepixels.us which is the DUEX
Am I right? |

Hello,
You are right this is a different company forum and not about the panel. However, I can tell you LCD/OLED/LED panels aren't bothered by magnets. The older CRT was using magnetic fields to steer the electron beam, therefore adding a magnet would interfere with that. Kind regards, Alban
