Default 1920x1200 resolution, how to?

Hi DisplayLink team!

I just got myself a 1920x1200 DELL monitor and now I can't select that resolution on my monitor that uses the display link (a deltaco usb-dvi1 rev 3). I am using the latest MacBook Pro and Mac OS X Snow leopard.

I read the thread about the 1.7b and I installed it but still no 1920x1200. You mentioned that we should look for a device that states it supports this resolution on:

http://www.displaylink.com/shop/index.php?product=5

but no such devices exists? I have a Deltaco USB-DVI1 (Rev 3) that should use the DL-195 chip. Do you think this should work? Have anyone successfully used a 1920x1200 display together with the latest MBP? What products did you use in that case?

Thank you!

I'll answer my own question

After further research it seems my usb to dvi converter was the one that supports lower resolutions (many say 1600x1200, but it still support 1920x1080). I bought another version which supported up to 2048x1152. I used the latest driver version (1.7, not beta) and it just worked!

So apparently the first version didn't use the latest chip but the new version did.
