Default Xserver dies after activating screensaver - xubuntu 18.04 - XPS13 9370

Hello,

when I have my ASUS MB196B+ plugged in, and lock my session, therefore activating the screensaver, my X does not comeback. What happens is the following:

- Activating Screensaver
- Screen turns black
- Blinking Cursor is in the left upper corner
- Nothing else

Sometimes I can not even jump to another tty using ctrl + alt + F[0-6], because I get immediately "redirected" to the blinking cursor. I can see the login prompt though for a sec. Switching to TTY7 makes the blinking cursor disappear, which looks to me like a xsession, but it does not react to any input, it just stays black.

Sometimes the above described behavior does not happen, which was the case when I made the attached error log.

Anyone else having these issues?

Regards

I've had a similar issue without any DisplayLink displays plugged in, but possibly using an older version of their app/driver since they don't make a PPA or repository available.
