Update... working on diff pc
OK heres an update
On office server running windows XP, managed to get a connection and display pc screen briefly , but was totally unstable. Lost connection repeatedly. Only able to reconnect after rebooting ipad, but quickly lost connection again so complete fail Moving to a home pc running windows 7 . Link works holds the connection and displays fine on the ipad, although resolution on PC drops considerably in duplicate monitor mode (changed via display link system tray icon, via advanced configuration) . In extended display mode, the normal resolution returns on the pc Nett I have a real use for this at work on XP network PC, but it doesnt work. Working on my standalone PC at home MAY be useful |

The iPad runs on 1024x768 resolution and when cloning the primary display, the primary screen resolution also changes to 1024x768 and this is what Windows does when one display is cloning another. It picks the highest resolution supported by both devices.
