Default New docs and windows open on Macbook display instead of larger screens

Hi all,

I'm currently using a TOTU USB-C adapter with the latest drivers connected to a Macbook Air M1 for a total of 3 displays (includes Macbook Air). No issues so far except for an occasional glitch where the second monitor fails to display which I usually fix by unplugging the adapter and plugging back in.

The question I have is when using 3 displays and opening a document or new finder window, the doc or window tends to open on the Macbook display instead of the larger displays. I've updated the display config so the smaller display is the 3rd screen but the issue persists.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a working solution?

Hello herc,

Thank you for posting on our forum.

Did you try making one of your bigger screens a primary one? You can do it by dragging your white bar from Macbook Air display to one of the external monitors.

In case of any problems, please take a look at this article.

Best regards,
Jakub
