Default Is my D6000 broken?

I was quite pleased to pick up a D6000 with some other IT scraps recently. It turns on ok, charges things connected to the USB-C port (and the indicator light goes from orange to white), plus the firmware updater finds it and updates it (I've even tried downgrading it to an older firmware, although it is presently running the latest firmware according to the Dell Updated A04 utility).
However, that seems to be all it does. I have tried on a Windows desktop (USB-C) and an older laptop (USB type-A), as well as an M1 Macbook but the ports are not recognized.
The latest drivers (displaylink managers) are installed and it makes a connection sound, but nothing connected to it works (HDMI/DP or USB).
Is there any way to know if this is just a dud?
Thanks!

Unhappy General Problem

It's super weird, but seems like many people are facing the exact same problem now. I even made an post about it in the general thread since it seems to be a universal problem among all kind ks users.
