Forced lower resolution?
Hi. I have a question about the DisplayLink drivers and USB monitors. Many of these USB LCD screens have "fixed" resolutions as I understand. I've tried a few of them and found that indeed, using DisplayLink, I cannot change the resolution. However, if I use that LCD monitor to duplicate another desktop at a lower resolution, it does in fact change to a lower resolution. This tells me that it *should* be possible to lower the resolution. Am I wrong in this? I have software that MUST be used on the extended desktop in 1024x768, so if my USB monitors can't be used in that resolution, it's a dealbreaker for me. Please tell me there's a way to make this happen! Thanks.

Hi,
Those that have fixed resolutions are unable to change mode (when extending). Not all have fixed resolutions though. Thanks, James |
