Thumbs down Display link does not charge my Mac with USB C nor connect to ethernet

Since I just purchased this device, I needed to upgrade my OS to Catalina 10.15. It connects my USB keyboard and mouse and my monitor but nothing else works. The functionality described that is can charge my Mac and run the internet hard wired via ethernet. I contacted support which in the end says the device is fine, it is my Mac. Any suggestion of any settings that I may not have set correctly that need to be changes so I can charge my Mac via UBS C and use the ethernet port to connect to my office internet? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

Charging is not part of DisplayLink technology. Ethernet and charging issues are handled by the manufacturer of the device that you have. Our drivers only support video/displays which you mentioned are working.

Best regards,
Katarzyna
