Windows 8.1 brightness slider without function

Hi folks,

when I undock my Windows 8.1 machine and there is no further display attached, I'm not able to change brightness at all. The slider just Not work.
After uninstalling the DisplayLink software everything works fine, was able to set the suitable brightness.
After I installed DisplayLink again, guess what?...thats why I'm here...
Is there a fix or hint to workaround the problem of a non-functional brightness slider?
