Default New installers mess up something

I was using my device with driver version 5.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 and kernel 4.18.0-25-generic without any issues. I was so stupid that I upgraded to the newer releases because I wanted to try kernel 5.4.0 from the repos. After this upgrade, the DVI connectors never were shown up again, even after revert back to the older DisplayLink driver release and older kernel. I figured it out it was related somehow that the kernel driver was loaded while the laptop booted to the desktop environment without DisplayLink device connected. The only solution was to put the evdi driver to blacklist in /etc/modprobe.d/ which prevents the early load without DisplayLink device during boot.
