Very jerky mouse movement on Windows 8

I currently use three USB display adapters (all the same model) on my laptop. On Windows 7 there were no issues with this, however on Windows 8 (fresh install, not an upgrade) I'm noticing a lot of jerky mouse movement on the monitors that use the adapters.

It's not constant, seems very intermittent and does not correspond with the system CPU usage levels. I'm using the latest displaylink drivers from Windows update (they automatically installed, that was cool!
