Zenscreen not detected/MBP/Monterey 12.4
Hi,
I have this setup: 1. MBP 2020 2. Asus Zenscreen MB165B Software: 1. Monterey 12.4 2. DL versions 1.6, 1.6.1, 1.7... and I tried many times to connect Zenscreen to MBP. First I used a cable attached to portable screen (USB 3.0 first generation to USB 3.0 type A) with USB-A <-> USB-C adapter - nothing. Screen just turns on and off, on and off... many times. Then I used another cable - USB 3.0 first generation to USB C. Still nothing and the same effect: screen turns on and off many times. DisplayLink Manager didn't detect Zenscreen at all. ONCE it works fine. I don't know why. But when I switched cable I just ruined it It doesn't matter if I use external power for screen or not. It doesn't matter if I use MBP only in battery mode or not. It doesn't matter which version of DL I used. I have also ThinkPad dock with two external screens - works perfect through one cable... I think there is a problem with power management/delivery but not on device/cable side but on DL driver or something with Monterey version. I attach zipped log from Console tool (from MacOS), zip file from DisplayLink Tool, and two photos which show you two different situations: didn't work and work - for prove I hope that someone could help me |
