Angry Dell Precision m6800 BSOD when Skype for business loads

Our Dell Precision m6800’s (which have switchable graphics and a beefier AMD graphics driver) are blue screening when Skype for Business loads. We recently installed new Startech Displaylink core software to allow projection to a 3rd external monitors and that software does not seem to jive with Skype and the AMD graphics card. The issue happens when we turn switchable graphics off in the bios of the machine and rely on the AMD driver to do the graphics. We can have switchable graphics off and just not run Skype for Business and we are able to use the external display without any issues. As soon as we load Skype, the machine freezes and blue screens. With switchable graphics enabled, we can use Skype without any issues but are unable to use the external display. The external display is plugged into a dock via the Startech displaylink displayport to usb adapter.

We receive a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA dlkmd.sys BSOD when launching Skype for Business.

A technical support ticket was created and is currently being handled.

DisplayLink drivers being used in the Startech disk seems very old (v7.2).
