Dual 4870's with CrossFire ENABLED + Displaylink = WORKS Perfectly!
I know DisplayLink specifically doesn't support such a setup but I just wanna ask before pulling the trigger.
Will DisplayLink work with the following setup, or has anyone seen it or think it would work, or has made it work? Any guesses are fine. This is a laptop: Dual ATI Mobility 4870 in Crossfire i7 Quad core processor 4GB Ram The release notes for 5.3beta say some multiple GPU configurations such as ATI/ATI may work. I am just wondering if this will work? Thanks guys. Last edited by ATI4870Crossfire; 04-26-2010 at 06:28 PM. Reason: It works now |

I can confirm that on this LAPTOP with Dual 4870's with CROSSFIRE ENABLED, using ATI drivers 10.5 Beta and using DisplayLink's beta drivers 5.3 (First Install ATI drivers, reboot, test CCC, THEN run DisplayLink's beta drivers) the device WORKS, WITHOUT any issues.
I can game on the main screen, have a virtual machine full screen on the USB display, and have a video playing on the regular VGA monitor. FINALLY crossfire works along DisplayLink's drivers. Thanks guys. |
