Plugable UD-3900 dock - monitor screen freezes, doesn't work
I'm at my wits end here and very frustrated. This docking station was highly rated on Amazon but I can't get it to work with my wife's work laptop (HP Elitebook 850 G1).
I've updated numerous drivers on the laptop, which helped with some initial issues. But now when I connect the extra monitor, it shows the screen for a couple of seconds then freezes. If I disconnect the dock, it just stops working altogether. I went through DisplayLink's Windows troubleshooting page for repeated disconnecting and reconnecting, or freezing. Now I'm out of ideas so I ran the DisplayLink support tool (results attached). Any thoughts are welcome. |

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out. I have a virtually identical HP notebook here but have been unable to reproduce this issue. Can you try upgrading to this Intel graphics driver? https://downloadcenter.intel.com/dow...53626.4294.zip Please note that you'll need to follow these steps to upgrade to the newer driver: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033915.htm Let me know how you get on. Thanks, James |
