I have seen the other posts in 2019 - 2020 about this issue. If I put my laptop in Mirror mode and leave it open the lag goes away but if I close the lid the lag is so bad it is unusable.
I really hate to go to Windows but I need a usable setup. This is on a Lenovo T14 AMD Ryzen 5pro using the USB C Display Dock ![]() |

Usually I use the same (I mean literally) system (currently Ubuntu 22.04) on every machine I use, and today the first time I attempted to use on an AMD machine (Steam Deck). I also have this severe performance hit (1-2 FPS) on Xorg OpenGL, but not with Wayland. Unfortunately KDE Plasma is just not Wayland-ready yet, so I'm stuck with Xorg right now.
The strange thing is the problem only occur if I set my primary monitor to the one which uses DisplayLink. As soon as I change the primary monitor back to the internal everything works fine. |
