Default Video loses focus briefly, continuously

I have a HP HSTNN-S02X USB Docking Station- with DisplayLink logo on the back.

Using a HP Probook 4530s with an HP 22EW LCD. The resolution is set to max which limits refresh rate to 60Hz. Intel HD video graphics are current, Displaylink driver is current. Cables have been replaced- I even replaced the whole unit.

When viewing content the LCD will 'lose focus' and text will become blurred for 5-10seconds and then recover for a while...then do it again. The problem occurs less frequently when the PC is 'in-use' (browsing/tying); and more often when the PC is idle (reading email).

I tried swapping LCD monitors... problem was consistent on 2nd good monitor.

Is it a DOA docking station or something else?

I read about Windows Areo; but the issue is fairly recent approx 6-8 weeks.

Make sure "Optimise for Video" is not enabled in the DisplayLink GUI. The should only be enabled to increase full screen video smoothness, compromising quality. It should be disabled for application use and should solve the issue you are both having.
