Default DisplayLink Installation Problems with Ubuntu 20.04.1

Hi,
I am trying to get the Insignia USB-HDMI cable adapter to work with my Ubuntu 20.04.1 installation on my HP Envy Desktop and was reaching out for help. Is this unit possible to use with this setup?

I have followed the instructions here -
And get -

justinmreina:~/$ sudo ./displaylink-driver-5.3.1.34.run
Verifying archive integrity... 100% All good.
Uncompressing DisplayLink Linux Driver 5.3.1.34 100%
DisplayLink Linux Software 5.3.1.34 install script called:
Distribution discovered: Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Detected running Xorg session and connected docking station
Please disconnect the dock before continuing
Installation terminated.
How do I get this to succeed? I am having trouble getting this to work successfully, as shown above (dock won't disconnect? ...)

Hi, This cable does not use DisplaylInk.
In order for the cable to work, USB-C port of your laptop/PC muse natively support Video transfer over USB-C - either USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt3.

I can. But first, full disclosure, I work at i-tec Technologies, so I would recommend our products as I know them. Just so you know.
I often look at this forum, so I know what is happening and helping if possible.

Depending on the resolution, I would recommend one of these 3 adapters.
U3DUAL4KHDMI: https://i-tec.pro/en/produkt/u3dual4khdmi-2/
U3HDMI4K: https://i-tec.pro/en/produkt/u3hdmi4k-2/
