Default 2x 2048x1152 output?

I'm very happy to see the displaylink driver working properly and providing a very good output! I'm currently connected to the dell usbdocking/monitorstand, and are using one monitor @2560x1440. Tried connecting the second and did get a image working, but unfortunately they both lower the resolution to 2048x1152. The display settings still claim to send two streams at qhd, but what's received at the monitors are not. This is definitely a acceptable solution to not having the bandwidth for two qhd-streams (as that's what I'm suspecting is happening), but it gives me an issue with having fullscreen windows "overflow". Please see attached screenshot for explanation of the issue, the inverted borders on the two far right monitors are what's overflowing.

I'm able of working around the problem by connecting the second external drive using a regular hdmi-cable, but it would be even better if I could just have ubuntu/xrandr offer 2048x1152 as an output configuration and save connecting another cable.
