Smile Build 10130 and 7.9 Beta 1

Hi All,

Just a "me too"-type post to confirm that Windows 10 continues to work fairly solidly with the current v7.9 beta 1 release (I've had a good experience since the previous 10122 build came out).

This is running on a Dell Venue Pro 8, connected to a 27" AOC Q2770P through Plugable's UD-Pro8, which I now daisy-chain to their UD-3900, in order to drive a couple of 23" Dell screens as well.

Plugable Ethernet on the UD-3900 was knocked out when I upgraded from Windows 10 build 10074, but I was able to get it working with the 7.7.60003.0 driver. Driver 7.9.95.0 is otherwise working with my screens.

No major issues so far, although I've found the upgrade experience smoother if I disconnect the Dell tablet before upgrading the DisplayLink software, then let it re-detect and update drivers for the other adapter accordingly.

I didn't try reinstalling v7.9 b1, because getting Windows to re-scan for drivers resolved the issue.

The driver Windows identified for the Plugable Ethernet adapter (on the UD-3900 dock) is 7.7.60003.0, based on Windows using dlcdcncm62.sys (it's located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS; file version is 2.34.11.0).

All the other Plugable adapters I have are currently using DisplayLink driver 7.9.95.0.

Still no major issues for me (e.g., screens blanking), although there is some occasional lag when scrolling with a mouse.

I may try a clean install when the next Windows 10 beta drops, rather than an in-place upgrade, to see if that makes a big difference. Certainly planning on taking that approach once the final version appears in late July/early August.

Preview 10130, 7.9 Beta2 DisplayLink driver, 352.84 nVidia drivers and the AOC USB monitor are working together properly.
