Default dock 6000 screen sharing

Connecting from a MacBook m2 to the docker which extends screen to two screens through HDMI and DP, though when it tells me though every time I plug in the USB c it starts screen sharing? Why does it need to screen share when all I want it to do is extend screen?

That’s because macOS sometimes sees these docks as AirPlay or DisplayLink devices and thinks you want to screen share. It’s not true “extended desktop” in the normal sense. Go to Settings → Displays and make sure it’s set to “extend” not “mirror.”

My M1 did the same with a Belkin dock. Updating DisplayLink Manager finally fixed it
