Is this supported by anything?
In view of: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=329 which states: "Dual link DVI is not supported by any of DisplayLink's ICs.", presumably the answer is.. nothing? |

This is correct. Dual link DVI is not supported, but this resolution would be supported through DisplayPort.

I have a DL-5500 product.
On your Website it's stated that over DVI 2048x1152 would be the highest supported resolution (using a DP++ Adapter). It's also stated, that Dual Link is not supported. What happens if I use an active DisplayPort to DVI Dual Link Adapter? Would then work a resolution higher than 2048x1152? In other words, can I create a Dual Link Signal using an active DVI-Adapter, even though its not officially supported? If not, why not? Thanks in advance! Nick |
