Default Dynadock U3.0 - Windows 10 Installation Failing

Hi all,

Firstly, as this is my first post please accept my thanks for all advice given, it's very much appreciated.

I am having problems with my Toshiba Dynadock U3.0 which uses DisplayLink, since upgrading to Windows 10.

After the upgrade I had problems with the sound. It was coming through the laptop speakers but not the main speakers connected to the dynadock, even though the laptop recognised there were dynadock speakers attached.

The display and the LAN etc. worked fine.

So I thought removing the drivers and reinstalling them from the disc received with the dynadock would work. After my first attempt I got the message that the drivers on the CD could not be installed on this operating system. This is when I went to Toshiba's support site to look at possible solutions.

I have tried 2 things:

1. I have tried installing the downloadable driver from the product page on the Toshiba website - this started but then stopped without any warning or error message.

2. I downloaded the drivers from DisplayLink given in another thread which sent me direct to their website. (http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...ort-windows-10)

After starting the installation I got following error message:

When I pressed OK the installation rolled back and removed all the files.

I'm now stuck and wondered if anyone has a solution to my problem.

A few bits you may need to know:

- The dynadock worked perfectly on Windows 8.1 before the upgrade
- I'm running Windows 10 64 bit
- Lenovo Z510 Intel core I7 version. Specs here: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops...z-series/z510/

As mentioned at the beginning, thanks for all your help, it's really appreciated.

Mark

Hi,

Can you disconnect the Dynadock and run the Cleaner from here:
http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/sla.php?fileid=121

After which please try to reinstall v7.9 M0 from here:
http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/downloads.php

Lastly please reconnect your Dynadock and let me know if you still have the issue with audio.

Thanks,
James

Hi James, I followed the steps above and I still can not connect to my ethernet via the dynadock U3.0. This became an issue after I updated to Windows 10 (64 Bit). Do you have a solution? Its not necassary for me to connect via ethernet, but I do like the added download speed that I had when I was connected. Is this a windows configuration problem or toshiba dynadock or DisplayLink?
