Default Aero Glass Resetting

Occasionally when I reboot or disconnect/reconnect, Aero Glass mode resets to the non-glass mode (not sure what that's called). Normally I would just leave this alone and not worry about it, but display artifacts usually start appearing in non-glass mode.

I'm using a Dell Precision laptop with a Quadro M1000M GPU and an Intel HD 530 from the core i7 6820HQ. Have any of you guys experienced this? Where should I look for a log of what might have happened?

Hi Irish,

That would be the sign that the graphics stack crashed in some ways.
You're right to insist for Aero as it's also the hardware accelerated mode, so on top of not getting artifacts, it also performs much better (even with glass effect removed in the theme).

What kind of Windows version do you use?

Kind regards,
Alban
