Default Redraw issues in Webkit2 and Blink Applications

Google Chrome and programs using webkit2 do not properly redraw their screens. This is probably associated with the low OpenGL redraw issue. (1fps in glxgears)

Both issues can be worked around by using vglrun to start the application. VirtualGL seems to force screen redraws. But seems more like a temporary workaround.

I am using a Displaylink USB2 device with the native udl driver. Does anyone know how this issue might be able to be resolved?

I can confirm this bug. (And I am also a 1fps-victim.)

Disabling the hardware acceleration in the Chromium settings fixes the flickering issue.

Thanks. disabling hw-acceleration also works for me.

Virtualgl also seems to work. Does anyone know, whether default virtualgl renders on the host gpu or cpu?
