Default Custom resolution

I have an external display with native resolution 1280 x 800. My tablet PC is in a docking station having internal USB to VGA converter (Display link drivers). The external display does not have I2C bus in the VGA interface, therefore Windows 10 offers only "standard" resolutions, which do not contain 1280 x 800. ( I have tested with other monitor capable of giving the EDID information that this docking station + tablet PC combo is capable of feeding 1280 x 800 resolution.

I have tried to use EDID_Override and create custom .inf files as monitor driver without success. Is there a register somewhere in which the DisplayLink driver saves the EDID file if such is available or how I could overcome this issue. I do not want to use some external adapter module in VGA port for EDID data. There must a be way to force the external monitor for 1280 x 800?? Any ideas or proposals?
