Downgrading to driver version 5.2.1 works in restoring functionality.

Default Plans to distribute Displaylink App on App Store or brew?

Hi Folks,

Thank you for sharing the fix by using the Displaylink App.

I am curious if there are any plans to distribute the Displaylink App on the Mac App Store or via brew?

Also, if I want to use the Displaylink App, do I also need to install the driver or does the App take care of the driver? I'm hoping to not have to install both.

Thanks again

Yes, there is a plan to add the application to Mac App Store we do not have any dates set yet but we are aiming to get it added there.

All you need is the application, there is no need to install the classic driver.

If this issue happened after upgrading to driver 5.2.4 please try out the Beta driver.

Thank you,
Katarzyna

Is there a Beta driver to fix the mirroring problem in MacOS 10.14.6 Mojave?
I downloaded the 0.5 Beta but its only for Catalina. Thanks

Exclamation Downgrading to v5.2.1 solves the problem

I had the same problem with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) which is running on macOS Mojave V 10.14.6 (18G5033) and DisplayLink drivers v5.2.4.

I downgraded to v5.2.1 and everything works fine right now.

Release Notes of v5.2.4 states that;

Quote:
Bugs fixed in release 5.2.4
-----------------------------
- Hub USB3.0 link power management control improvement to address connection stability (31500)

- WindowServer memory usage increases after DisplayLink dock replug (30311)

- All DisplayLink connected displays are in mirror mode (30765)
Clearly bug 30765 is not resolved correctly, still has this problem (maybe at least on Mojave)
