Default 4k60, single display

Hello,

I'm looking for a product that supports 4k resolution at 60hz for a single monitor. It seems that most if not all of the products available that are based on the DisplayLink 6950 implement the full feature set (dual displays, Ethernet, etc.).

The reason why I'm looking for this kind of solution is that I'm planning on purchasing a Thunderbolt 3 dock which supports dual 4k60 monitors via DisplayPort (Wavlink UTD21), and I'm looking for a DisplayLink based solution to support one more additional monitor at 4k60.

Since my TB3 dock will already include Ethernet + other USB ports, my ideal configuration would be to attach a single monitor DisplayLink adapter to one of the USB C/3.1.3.0 ports on the TB3 dock.

This is for a 2019 MacBook Pro 13" that only natively supports 2x external displays, hence why I'm looking for a DisplayLink solution for the 3rd monitor.

I guess my alternative is to find the lowest cost / most basic DL-6950 based dual display dock and only use it for a single monitor.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Hello,

It sounds like your ideal solution would be a single dock that supports all three 4kp60 displays? If you go to our website and search through the product list, you can select minimum resolution of 4K and minimum monitors supported of 3.

Here's a direct link to that search, for your convenience: https://www.displaylink.com/products...840x2160&num=3

Hope that's helpful. If not, you can just change the minimum supported monitors to 1 and then go from there, if you want to stick with your original idea.

Kind regards,
Andrew

It's just been pointed out to me that the devices I previously recommended do not support 3 x 4Kp60, but do 2x 4Kp60 using the DisplayLink chip and 1x 4Kp30 using alt-mode.

However, following your original set up - you can search for adapters using this link: https://www.displaylink.com/products...840x2160&num=1

Kind regards,
Andrew
