Connect iPad from an outside network

Hello,
In the company I work I have a subnetwork without Wifi, but I have an upper network with Wifi where I can connect the iPad in. I would like to know if there is any way, redirecting the ports, in where I could connect the iPad to my PC. I tried redirecting the ports listed here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=313 to the static ip of my computer, but the iPad doesnt discover the machine (in the iPad I'm pointing to the router where I'd configured the port forwarding)
