Default Resolution ? Lenovo 1421 and a XGA Beamer

Helo all,

I am new to this forum and english is NOT my native language, so I hope you understand my question an someone can help me.
I searched through the forum, google and nearly the whole www .

OK, so my question is:
I plan to buy a miniPC. It will be connected to a beamer with a resolution off 1024*768 at the onboard HD4600 vga connector (prozessor will be an I7-7465T). the beamer will be the primary "Display" in windows7.

What happens when I connect the lenovo 1421 with an resolution off 1366*768 with dsiplaylink as secondary display (as controlmonitor) in mirror-mode?

It wil be OK for my if I get two black lines at the right and left side.

Will this work as I suppose?

Hi! I've had several displayLink monitors including the Lenovo LT1421.

The behaviour of the display depends on your graphics card, your operating system, and the attached displays, so it's a little hard to predict.

In my experience, if you try to run mirror mode, you'll get the smallest native resolution supported with black crop boxes on any display with greater resolution.

So my best guess is:

-- your Beamer will show 1024x768
-- your Lenovo will show 1024x768 -- with two vertical black bars, left and right of 171x768 black unused pixels

Helo EddieMa,

thanks for your reply.
It is ok for me if there will be 2 black bars on the left and the right side,

Sure, but if you do not know anything about this display and do not have one it is not easy to test.
I had to by up to 8 PCs where I want to use this small display as an "preview" no other display only a beamer is connected. So I am not able to test.

The question is answered, I have the PCs and the display and all works fine,
BIG thanks to EddieMa.
