Windows 10 & Beta2 7.9.242.0
Hey,
I have a StarTech USB32DPPro on a Dell 27" with a native resolution of 2560x1440. Although after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I can only push my monitor up to 2048x1152. Any ideas? |

I had almost the same problem - the image had the correct number of pixels but left a 1 inch or so margin all around. Try disconnecting the monitor cable with the computer on, then reconnecting it and letting the computer find it.
Other suggestions - make sure you have the latest driver from the monitor maker. What version of Win 10? (10162 is currently latest) Also, did you install Win 10 from an iso image? Might make a difference. |

Update - just installed build 10166.
Piece of advice for all - at least until the Final release is here, if this is your first install of Win 10 preview - DO NOT install from the internet - download the .iso file, burn to DVD, install from there. |

In builds 10162, 10163 as well as today's build 10166, the Windows 10 Alpha Driver won't install for me. The installation wizard ends prematurely because 'DisplayLink Core Software setup was interrupted' (see the screenshot attached). No significant events in the logs, however.
Any ideas? Last edited by dbaw; 07-10-2015 at 01:15 PM. |
