Default HP Dual Graphics Adapter Not getting Full Res

Hello,

I have a HP Folio 1040 and using an HP Dual Graphics Adapter.

I'm trying to get dual 30" Monitors with full resolution(2560x1600)

I am using an HP folio dock.

One cable from Monitor to dock works fine.

The cable connecting from monitor to Adapter is not getting the full resolution. It is only showing 1920 x 1200 instead of 2560x1600.

I have checked and made sure all drivers are updated.

I have disconnected the direct connection and leaving only the USB adapter but I am having the same issue.

This is correct behaviour. If using both outputs of the adapter, the maximum resolution will be 2048x1152 (if reported by the monitor). See this article:

Quote:
If using the DL-3900, which supports dual outputs, resolutions above 2048x1152 will be unavailable if a second display is connected. If wanting to use the DL-3900 with resolutions above 2048x1152, disconnect the second display.
You will need a 2nd USB to DisplayPort adapter to support dual 2560x1600.
