I just bought the Belkin Windows 8 Tablet Dual Video Docking Stand with USB 3.0 because the reported max resolution is 2560x1600 as listed here:
http://displaylink.com/shop/docks However; this resolution does not show up when attaching my 27" monitor; and the manual for the product: http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/...437_RevA00.pdf says the max resolution is 2048x1152 Which is wrong? |

Note that I am connecting via a DVI cable. My monitor does not support displayport; one of the reasons for buying this dock in the first place (I'm using a Surface PRO 2) - because there is no easy way to do displayport to dual-dvi.

DVI will support up to 2048x1152. Dual-link DVI is not supported by the dock. To use 2560x1600 you will need to use the DisplayPort output of the dock.

That works as designed. You can have 1 screen at > 2048x1152 (eg 2560x1600) or 2 screens <= 2048x1152. The DL-3900 in these docks does not support 2 displays when one has a higher resolution than 2048x1152.
