Toshiba DynaDock 3.0 loses wireless connectivity on Windows 8.1
I am using a Toshiba DynaDock 3.0 with a Surface Pro 2 tablet, the graphics and all else work great, but When I connect the dynadock all my wireless networks disappear and I become disconnected, if I unplug the dynadock they all re appear, and the network that I was previously connected to before plugging in the dynadock is actually still connected. All routers and USB connections are over 25' form the DynaDock. I have installed the latest 7.5 drivers. I noticed in the Device manager however the DynaDock Audio and DynaDock Ethernet devices are showing astrics by them and I can't seen to get the drivers loaded .
I will include the DisplayLink Support files that were created by the DisplayLink Supoort tool. Thank Jon Stroh |

Hi,
Regarding the audio and ethernet drivers not being installed can you try these steps: 1. Right click on device in device manager 2. Select Driver 3. Select Update Driver 4. Select Browse my computer for driver software 5. Select Browse 6. Enter C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\ 7. Check Include subfolders 8. Select Next Repeat for both audio and ethernet. Regarding the WiFi disconnecting, this may be related to this FAQ: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=340 Thanks, James |

Thank You that did it I had already read the post about the USB 3.0 interference, but I kept thinking I don't have any wireless devices.... thinking of only keyboard and mouse.... then I realized the Surface Pro 2's wireless Ethernet adapter qualified so I moved the Surface Pro 2 as far as the DynaDock cable allowed and Viola!
So it fixed it with a wireless router connection, now to see if it stays connected to the wireless connection on my Verizon Hotspot on my Windows phone Thank for your help! Jon |
