Loose wireless connectivity after installing latest 7.4 M2
I have a Microsoft Surface Pro with 8.1 RTM. I was running 7.4 M0 without any issue. I upgraded to 7.4 M2 and now have lost my wireless connectivity.
If I uninstall 7.4 M2 wireless works again. I have done this two times and lose wireless connectivity each time. Not sure if anybody else is experiencing this issue. I am going to try and roll back to previous version. |

Hi,
What device do you have attached? To help us investigate the issue, please download this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 As soon as the issue is seen again, please run it and select "Gather Support Information" It's also worth trying the "System Compatibility Check" to see if anything is flagged up. Thanks, James |

Sorry, that info would have been semi important.
I am using the Lenovo USB 3.0 Dock. I have running fine with the 7.4 M0 since that version had been released. I have downloaded the tool. Will find some time to install new version and see what happens. Thanks. Cameron |

Lost wireless connectivity on Windows 8.1
I have a Lenovo X1 carbon touch with Lenovo USB 3.0 basic Dock.
I upgraded from windows 8 to Windows 8.1 I cleaned up existing DisplayLink software using DL_install_cleaner.zip Then I installed version 7.4 M2 version of software. I lost wireless connectivity after doing this. Once I rollback using system restore, or remove all display link software, wireless is back to working state. Once I install 7.4 M2, I lose wireless connectivity again. I have run System compatibility Check and it shows everything to be ok: Pass: No Other USB graphics software installed Pass: Basic mode support Pass: Device attached Pass: Device started correctly Pass: Graphics driver date Pass: WEI is above recommended 3 I have attached output from "Gather Support Information" and this information was captured after laptop has lost wireless connectivity. |

DisplayLink cleaner tool broke my wi-fi settings
I've been using Windows 8.1 on my Dell XPS 12 for several weeks and the only issue I've had was I lost the ability to use an extended display with DisplayLink. I heard about the new DisplayLink v7.4 software and decided to try that. Installed it and it didn't work, so I followed links to this article: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=297, which recommended the DisplayLink Install Cleaner tool which seems to have "cleaned" Wi-Fi capability off my machine. I've tried restoring to a previous restore point in Windows from a few days before I installed the new DisplayLink software and nothing's working. At this point, I don't even care about the extended display anymore I just want my Wi-Fi connectivity back!!!
