Missing WUSB sound pref in newest Mac OS update (10.6.8)
Just ran the latest software update for my MacBook Pro (10.6.8) and now I've lost my WUSB sound option in my sound output pref. Any ideas on why this is happening?
[currently running the Display Link v 1.7b2 drivers] |

I'm afraid DisplayLink just does the graphics on current products and is not responsible for the audio on WUSB. Try contacting your WUSB supplier.
Are you sure that you only updated the DisplayLink software, and not other components too? Does the WUSB audio come back if you uninstall DisplayLink, or revert to the earlier version? |

I've tried both.
1. I've uninstalled the display link drivers downloaded from the site with no results 2. I have tried reinstalling the original packaged drivers from the product CD and still no results. Do you know where I could find a WUSB audio driver to use here? Last edited by xenokat; 07-09-2011 at 07:23 PM. |

yup me too. I saw it there when I first plugged in the WUSB and installed the driver, but now it no longer shows up.
