DisplayLink Does not Detect Displays (IOmega)
I used my display link when I first bought it, a few months ago, but then stopped using it. (I had to use my extra monitor for other things)
I'm trying to use it now, and it does not seem to work. I've upgraded to the new driver, but, my monitor does not come on. I'm attaching the output from the debug tool -- please help me! |

Any ideas? I've repaired permissions and re-installed the driver, but nothing

So, I bought the Kinsington Universal Multi-Display adapter, and tried it -- still no monitor detected.
It's supposed to support up to 2048x1152, so, my 1900x1200 should work fine, but it doesn't -- any ideas? I get this when I plug it in: Code:
USBF: 405.443 [0xc288e00] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 2 of Hub at 0x26000000) USBF: 406.184 [0xc288e00] The IOUSBFamily has successfully enumerated the device. Last edited by CodeMonkey; 10-14-2010 at 05:03 PM. Reason: Adding File |

Could this be an incompatibility with my particular monitor? I'm using an Acer B243W.

I think I found it. When I connect the device, I see this in system.log:
Code:

So, after disabling that device, it seems more likely that the USB devices are enumerated, and, for some reason, display link never grabs the device.
I could really use some assistance. I now have two non-working display links. |
