Default MB168B+ Not working/ constant disconnect chime

I just updated my computer to the Windows 10 anniversary update and as soon as I did my USB monitor stopped working.
I have followed the steps in the FAQs but to no avail

Default Also having issues with Asus 168B+

My 168B+ is working, not flawlessly, but it's working with Win 10 1607. Sometimes the display goes blank and I have to re-plug all my USB monitors.

What bothers me most is that I'm unable to adjust brightness and screen rotation any more.
I got no response from DisplayLink and there was no sensible answer from Asus support. It's obviously a driver issue, because on my old machine (still running Win 10 1511) all buttons are working as expected.

Hello Kpower,
Would you please be able to update to 8.0 M2?
We have made changes in the USB from the device side to be able to handle better the constant hammering of useless bus power down requests on some Intel platforms.

Hello Stepinsky,
We missed your post. You should have created a support ticket if that was important for you. I will reply on the initial post.

Kind regards,
Alban

I am having the same issue.
Have moved to a different laptop and it worked on my old laptop.
then again people are saying on other forums that you need a USB Y-cable for this monitor due to the fact it needs more power.
I have tried all USB ports and it loads up and then thinks its not connect and goes into sleep mode.
I have tried doing a clean install of the latest 8.0 M2 but that doesn't seem to help at all.
I am hoping this can be resolved soon since i will be going to college and would appreciate the extra display.

Thanks,
Computerg767

Default Suddenly disconnecting with 8M2

I updated to 8M2 and now a have random disconnections of my 168B+. My Lenovo LT1421 is fine. Sometimes the Asus stays black, sometimes it reconnects instantly.

Computer767, Stepinsky,
You will see in my signature how to capture logs as soon as practical after you see the fault.

kpower,
I see loads of crashes because of access violation and some issues accessing the registry.
Please use the steps described in the following FAQ to remove everything and then, install 8.0 M2 before reconnecting your MB168B+.
Should the issue persist, please post new logs.

Kind regards,
Alban
