Anyone with this problem?
Notifications (e.g. from Chrome) on the Mac (those popups in the upper right) do not show up when the main screen is a DisplayLink connected display. If the MacBook Pro is not connected to the DisplayLink station, the notifications show up as usual. |

This is actually the issue I came here to research. Under System Settings > Notifications turn on the toggle for "Allow notifications when sharing or mirroring a display" and you'll get the notifications again. I'm not sure why Displaylink makes macOS think a display is being shared, but it seems to!

They are not connected natively, but as "virtual" screens. Therefore macOS does not see them as "real" screens but as virtual ones through the DisplayLink driver. |
