7.7 installation results in black screens
Hi
I have a Surface Pro 3 and I run 2 monitors off my machine using a ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock. After upgrading to 7.7M0, both of my monitors were on (blue LED) but were totally black. I could apparently move windows onto this monitors but i couldn't actually see them when they were on the monitors since they remained black. I uninstalled 7.7 and reinstalled 7.6M2 and everything is back working as it should be... |

Hi,
Whilst this issue is showing please attach the output of this tool: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 Once downloaded, please run it and select "Gather Support Information" When you reply please select "Manage Attachments" from the "Additional Options" section below. From there select Upload and navigate to the output of the tool which will be in a folder called "DisplayLink Support Files" on your desktop. Thanks, James |

I had the same problem with a Suirface 3 Pro i5
I have attached my log from when I had 7.7 installed. 7.7 Blank screen, 7.6m2 screen worked Also, when I uninstalled 7.7 and installed 7.6m2, my wifi stopped working properly. It would connect to the router but not connect to the internet. I uninstalled 7.6m2 and now the internet connection worked. So at this point I can not use my external monitor. I have both the Diamond DS3900 and MDS3900 And it was the same with both. I really need this to work again.... Thank you guys |

Hi,
Thanks for the information. Can you check if installing the latest Surface Pro firmware and driver pack helps ? http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downl....aspx?id=38826 I'd also suggest installing the latest Intel graphics drivers from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sea...ng&ProdId=3719 Thanks, James |

My Pro 3
My pro 3 has worked great with a display port to hdmi adapter off of my dock and a usb 3.0 to dvi adapter off of my dock (plugged into usb 2 not the SS ports) until this morning. Now only one will work at a time. Either the usb dvi adapter will work or display port, not both. I already have the newest Microsoft files and tried downloading the intel files but they would not let me install them. Any permanent fixes?
Thanks Thom |

Finally got mine to work for today... Not going to restart to test but using usb 3.0 on usb 2 port to DVI for one monitor and then display port to hdmi off of the dock for the second port. Strange how display port to DVI won't work but display port to HDMI does.

Ditto
Just chiming in that I too have the same issue, upgraded to 7.7 on my SP3 and black screens. Only way to get it working again was to roll back to 7.6. All up to date with my drivers and what not.

Same problem, but on a desktop that has been running fine with my USB monitor for four years. Where can I download the older driver to roll mine back (a legit site without being spammed)?

Have you tried rebooting after install to see if this solves the issue? It would be helpful to know this to work out where the problem might be.
