MacBook Pro 16'' - External display not detected
Hello all,
After updating to MacOS 10.15.4, my external display never got recognized again. I am using a docking station "Lindy USB 3.1 Type C", is it supported by display link? If so, I can't get Displaylink 5.2.4 to work correctly: 1- I can't get displaylinkuseragent to show up on-screen recording options. 2- I tried the command Code:
tccutil reset ScreenCapture com.displaylink.DisplayLinkUserAgent Code:
tccutil: No such bundle identifier "com.displaylink.DisplayLinkUserAgent": The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -10814.) 4- I even put displaylinkuseragent inside accessibility with no success. 5- I've tried all sorts of Vudu to make it work, and five calls to Apple support with no success. Can someone shed some light? Thank you so much. EDIT: Changed a typo. "1- I can't get displaylinkuseragent to show up on-screen recording options." Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum. I am not sure if this docking station is using our technology as I did find many models on the Internet. May you please provide a photo of it? As for the extension issue. We are aware of this problem on 5.2.4 driver version and we are currently working on resolving this issue. Could you please follow this link and gather log files for us? After gathering logs, as a workaround for now I would suggest using our BETA driver which we have tested do not have an issue with the extension mode. Thank you for your feedback. Kind regards, Jakub

Hello Jakub, thank you for your reply.
The docking station is this one: https://www.lindy-international.com/...20102&pi=43234 Unfortunately, I had already uninstalled DisplayLink before seeing your reply, and right now I am a bit lost on what versions I already installed. If you could provide me one to install and collect the logs would be awesome. I tried the beta version you shared with me, I could reset the screen capture via terminal, but it doesn't show up in settings under-screen recording. I went also check if it would show up under extensions under system report and there is nothing there, I only have an icon in my taskbar. Thank you so much for your time. Best |

Hello,
Thank you for your new information. Based on the docking station and it's specification I assume that it is not a DisplayLink powered docking station and our chip is not present inside. I would recommend you contacting your manufacturer or retailer from whom you have bought that device as the driver used by it is not a DisplayLink driver. Best regards, Jakub
