Default USB Composite Device failed

Imation AV Extender.
I have done the install a couple of times and I downloaded the 6.2.37544 software as well.

Windows 7, HP Elitebook 8440p.

The install appears to go well. When I plugged in the receiver the 2nd display actually came on and extended my desktop. But then the device driver popup lists that all the devices installed correctly but the USB Composite Device driver failed.

After the install completes, the receiver never flickers and I can't get a connection to it.

Any thoughts?

Can you right click on the USB Composite device in device manager and tell me what the VID/PID is of the device? This can be found under the details tab as shown below:http://displaylink.com/techsupport_files/dmpid.png

Default Same here

I'm having this same problem. It seems when Windows Update updates the DisplayLink software, the install fails.

I have an Imation Wireless AV Extender. I'm assuming the device just isn't compatible with any other Displaylink version than the one it comes with.
