Unhappy Managing/Updating DisplayLink on Macs in Enterprise & Business

1 Allow Mac DisplayLink to be managed by MDM like Jamf etc. Allow the settings in the app/menubar to be able to be hidden or locked according to an organizations IT policy. This is typically easy to implement as all the settings are written to the com.displaylink.DisplayLinkUserAgent preference domain which can be controlled by any modern MDM if the time/energy is committed.

Example settings that an IT dept would want to manage/restrict/enforce:

-Prevent Apple Watch from unlocking Mac lock screen.
-Force DL Manger app to start automatically.
-etc

2 Provide a status in the DL Manager menubar app to show if a new update is available, and provide a link to the new installer. Currently there is an abstract link but it doesn’t contain any version info so a user has no idea if they need to install/click the link or not. Why is the link there? I already have DL Manger, so what's this link do exactly? And the link simply downloads a .DMG – there is no ‘update workflow or process’ per se to actually perfoem the update in-place – its basically saying “hey, customer – figure it out, not our problem...” and adds friction to organiziations like mine with hundreds of Mac laptops running DisplayLink Manager

3 Provide a dynamic method of allowing DL Manager to be updated without disconnecting all currently monitors. This is tricky and may be a chicken-and-egg paradox potentially but not impossible…?
