Windows 8 to 8.1 upgrade problem with DL
I have read all the knowledge base info on trouble shooting my Display Link Targus ACP70ISZ not working after I upgraded to Windows 8.1 from 8.0 on my Surface Pro. I now know I should have installed the 7.4 version of Display Link prior but too late. I have re installed my Display Link software and even used the cleaner software. I still can't get my connected monitors to work and have to do some wild things to keep my wireless network working while using the docking station. Besides going back to Windows 8.0 is there anything else I can do to get this docking station working with 8.1?

Can you post your log files so we can see what state your PC is in under Windows 8.1 with DisplayLink installed?

Hi, I have the same issue with an out of the box Surface Pro 2 with the Kensington Office Dock.
Attached is the Zip file for your delectation. I have installed the Display Core Software (Version 7.4.51572.0) and Display Graphics (7.451587.0). It actually worked at first but then received an MS update overnight and now reports the issue: Failed device Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (code 43). A USB port request failed. Any assistance would be dandy as I have a tonne of these to sort out and deploy. Last edited by Toby Wakelin; 10-25-2013 at 12:48 PM. Reason: poor grammar |
