Question Install over the top gives FALSE Failure

An annoyance with DisplayLink especially for Enterprise Admins where we use Munki or Jamf Self Service to allow users to install specific apps is DisplayLink will throw a false error saying it can't be installed if the users already has the same version installed.

The user then repeatedly hits the install button and finally gives up and then raises a support issue thinking their is a fault with the installer when they ALREADY have DL installed but have not realised or checked.

We don't get this issue with any other app, just DL. Why DL? Is this something you have set in the Installer app if so can you please change it so you can install the same version over the top without any checks.
