evdi driver installs but apparently not being used
I was able to download and install the latest evdi driver, version 1.3.54.
I have secure boot turned off.
When I plug in my DisplayLink device, it appears that the regular udl driver is being used instead of the evdi driver: I see the device in lshw but with udl mentioned as the driver, and I don't see evdi in /proc/modules. In the display settings, the device shows up as a second monitor, but an attempt to turn it on fails. The device has a blank screen at all times.
